I was looking at some older Corvettes last week. Some had 4+3 Manual transmissions. Did they stop those?
This shifter still looks like the 4+3 shifter with the top button for overdrive.

That quit during the C4 Era. C5 manual trans were all 6spd

Awesome. Corvettes have been oddballs over the years best I can tell... 4+3 tranny. I think late corvettes start in 2nd ( I think that’s auto tho) to improve MPGs
Any other quirks I don’t know about

Not a fan of some of the stick on bits but Millennium Yellow is one of my favorite colors. It’s a base coat with a tinted clear which is why it can go from bright yellow to almost orange depending on the light. Has dual zone climate, HUD, adjustable suspension so decently well optioned car. Someone put a lot of effort into the ‘customizing’ sadly. The C6 repo wheels are fine I guess, catback exhaust is always ok and I don’t mind the white gauges but the rest would need to go lol. Solid reliable cars.

Those were only in ‘84-’88 corvettes.

Also, unless that aftermarket hood is hiding a blower, CP. Actually, even then probably CP.

I didn’t get a pic of the trailing edge of the hood, but it had a bit of a rough edge. It would be better with the stock hood.
I just looked at autotrader and it looks like the price is in line with others of the same year and mileage. And it is just the asking price, after all.

Wow, blue book values are way lower! I don’t see any near me in this range.

I was just pricing C5 Z06s this morning! Looks like they can be had for well under $20k at this point. Very interesting. So get one for $15k, set aside $5k for seats, coilvers, shifter, tires, and what else would your day 1 mods be?

$22k is C6 money. Halve that.

I will have a C5 Z06 one day and the first thing to go is that god for saken radio. Why? Because I drove a ‘98 Malibu in high school with the same damn radio/buttons.
Oh GM

C5 Vette is best Vette.

Yuck! Not a fan...especially for that price.

That seems high. Here in Michigan, I bought my much less visually repulsive C5 for ~$17,000 and it was near the top of the price range for these. $22,000 for a pre-ruined car just seems wrong to me...

That is C5 Z06 pricing. Nice, low mileage non-Z06 C5's can be had all day long for around 15k.
